Billy Batts humiliates Tommy in a bar full of made men which provokes Tommy. Billy teases Tommy about his being younger and inexperienced within the Mob. The disrespect between Mob members results in a hostile altercation as the hostile Tommy DeVito takes Billy Batts' words personally.
