Whoever Holds the Conch Gets to Speak
00:00 - 01:58
1m 58s

The boys set up preliminary rules for the group and establish who gets to speak and when. They then devise ways, as a group, to survive and get the help they need. Toward the end of the clip, the boys vocalize their choice of group leader and provide rationale for it. Once Ralph gets elected, he states that it does not matter who is in charge; it is more important for them to work together.
