With the Eds missing, Kevin firmly believes that they're onto something. When he and the other cul-de-sac kids discover Chimp World, Kevin is skeptical and advises the others that it is part of the Eds' scam, but they don't listen to him. Despite the events that unfold, the Eds have nothing to do with them.
Professor Maurice Phipps discusses democracy and the enlightenment in an introduction to his course. He expresses the basic premise of democratic theory: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. He states that, despite having these rights, very few people exercise them, and he indicates that no student will receive special treatment.
Chelsea tells Raven that the food they got from the food court is unhealthy and is having a negative impact on their health. Raven acts as if everything is fine even though she is tired from simply standing up from the ground. Raven has a vision of the future, and in it, she and everyone in the school has gained a lot of weight. That inspires Raven to change her eating habits.
