The team pulls up a hologram of the perpetrator, Renard, and discuss how a bullet got lodged into his head. They mention that the bullet is slowly moving through his medulla oblongata and killing off his senses: touch, smell, and pain. They state that he is getting stronger every day until the day he dies because he lost these senses.

Amy briefly explains the roles of the prefrontal cortex, the limbic system, and the amygdala in the context of Penny and Leonard's relationship.

Pathologist Dr. Bennet Omalu is adamant about bringing transparency to the topic of brain damage in football players who suffer multiple concussions. His audience, however, is more concerned about how Dr. Omalu's work will affect the business of football.

Dr. Adams is confronted by the board, who tells him that practicing medicine without a license is unlawful. His response reminds everyone of the fundamental role of doctors: to open your door to those in pain, care for patients, and listen to patients.

Skarr is awarded the "Best Neighbor" award, despite Billy ruining the garden he cultivated to win the award. Although Skarr was in a better position due to Billy's actions he attempts to murder Billy out of revenge. Billy points out all of Skarr's new benefits to convice him his revenge is senseless, but Skarr goes through with trying to kill him anyway. Skarr tells Billy "remember, this is what you get for being a bad neighbor," and Billy points out how it's Skarr who is the bad neighbor for trying to kill him.
