Tip and Oh are about to find Tip's mom when Oh tries to get Tip to run away with him. The Gorg are about to attack, and Oh tells Tip it is not safe to stay. Tip gets angry at him for wanting to leave and lying that he would help her find her mom until the end. Oh debates on staying but ultimately leaves.

Grug throws Guy and the Crood family to safety on the other side of the chasm, sacrificing himself. He also invents the hug.

Hitch chases Sarah, who has seemingly moved on with another man. He expresses his love for her in a vulnerable speech.

Tip discovers an alien while she is looking for supplies in a store. The alien's species took all the humans away, and thus, Tip traps him in a freezer. The alien tries to negotiate to get Tip to let him out. Tip notices that he is lying and also lies to him in order to mislead him.

Dodge Petersen works at an insurance company during the end of the world. His reaction to the news of an asteroid doomed to hit Earth is apathetic.
